Letters From Our Clients
Hi Melissa,
It has been quite a while since our last conversation.
I wanted to Thank You and update you on Mackenzie, who
turned 5 on December 14th. Mac has been a tremendous
addition to our family. Mac's temperament is
phenomenal and our four children enjoy him thoroughly.
The only issue that we have with Mac is that nobody
has ever told him he is not a lap dog, Mac will
literally lick you to death if you allow him. He is a
constant companion following my wife and myself
wherever we go in the house. Mac shows no aggressive
tendencies towards anyone. Mac has completely shocked
the Dog Groomer as well as a Kennel that we had to
board him at when we went to Florida. Both places
raved about how beautiful and well behaved he was and
the affection that he shows. Both facilities told me
that Mac erased all the misconceptions they ever had
regarding Akita's and was absolutely a delight to
have. Mac is 97 pounds and has had no health issues,
which we are thankful for after the nightmares we had
concerning our first Akita purchased from a Mall Pet
Store. Mac is such a great looking dog that he
actually stops people on the street and the parks just
to admire and pet him, of course Mac loves the
affection and attention.
Happy New Year,
Michael, Brandy and Children

Hi
Melissa
I don't know if you will remember us but about 2 years ago you sold my wife
Becky and I a dog. Actually he doesn't know he is a dog, he is sure he is one of
us. I wanted to tell you that of all the dogs we have ever had he is by far the
best. We named him Sumo. He is about 110 pounds and just beautiful. His body is
all white and his face is brown. People have actually pulled over in cars and
asked if they could pet him he is so beautiful.
Just to help you remember he was born on November 5 2000, and Becky and I lived
in San Clemente at the time we purchased him. We now live in Auburn, Ca. We were
very interested in having a pet who was friendly and he is the sweetest most
loving dog either of us has ever had. He loves children and gets along with
other dogs.
I hope all is well with you and your family.
Have a great New Year.
Ron and Becky Fox (12/02)

Hi Melissa & Bob! Long time no see.. All is well in
Ukiah. Banzai is now 25 months and filled out nicely. BIG
dog. She stands 28" at the shoulder and weighs in at a solid 110 lbs. Not
a big eater. Two cups of Eukanuba per day. Still a big drinker tho'. As
she was introduced to water at an early age, she is a total water dog.
Gotta watch her or she knows no bounds. Thinks nothing of following you in
a boat/kayak/canoe, etc. out into any conditions or distance. We now do a
lot of boating. From river jetboating to lakes and ocean. (we have an
Alumaweld 17' Jet Boat) and Banzai's place is in the bow. Got her own
lifejacket for whitewater, extended swims and ocean travel. If it gets too
rough, (whitewater rapids, etc. she comes back into the cabin).
Still the sweetest dog I have ever personally encountered. As much to
your
credit as breeders as it is to ours as owners. Totally non-aggressive with
all other animals, people etc. Loves kids especially. (tends to freak them
out at first, due to her size).
Had the misfortune of almost becoming a statistic a couple of weeks ago,
when a guy tried to mug me while on our morning walk. About 6am, total
darkness. Didn't see her until he was about 6' away. She changed his mind
about his profession post-haste. Last seen running in a north-bound
direction... Protective and alert. Can't say enough about her. And this
from someone with my background in Akita's.
Anyway, maybe we can stop by in our travels next time and see you guy's.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in the meantime! I have attached a photo
of Sharon & Banzai in the Virginia City Graveyard this Past Aug. from our
Hot August Nites vacation.
C-Ya, Doug.
